Let's just say, I don't really watch much TV. Especially since living in Japan... and not getting most American shows, I don't have a favorite TV show. But if I had to pick one, I would pick... The Biggest Loser.
Jillan Michaels ROCKS MY WORLD! I wish I could just meet her... and let her reach down and find out what is wrong with Cassey! :) Seriously though, I love this show. I love how they all transform and how most of them continue to stay healthy, happy, and fit! How I desire that life!! One day, right?!
Biggest Loser is the one show that I have tried to watch faithfully since being in Japan... Whether I Was buying it on itunes, netflix, or watching online... I never like to miss it!
I want to be like Jillian!!

30 Day Picture Challenge: Day 2
Day 2: A picture with you and the person you have been closest with.
This one was hard. There are three people in my life that truly know Cassey, so I couldn't just put one of them.... I had to go with all three! These are the three people that I am the closest to. My husband, Nate... My sister, Brittany... and My mommy, Kendra. They are all such important parts of my life- and I can't imagine my life without any of them. They are all three my best friends. They stand by me through the thickest of thick and the best of the best! I am very blessed for the people that I have in my life.
Not many people have the relationship with their mom that I have... and I am so thankful for that. Not many people have the relationship with their sister as I do- and I know I am blessed with our relationship. Nate and I have a much different relationship than a lot of married couples... but I also feel like our relationship is more realistic and based on what is real.
God is good.. and it is completely obvious with these wonderful three people he put in my life.
*This picture was right before mom and Britt went to an onsen for the First time!* SHOTS of WATER for the Women! :)

30 Day Picture Challenge: Day 1
While blog stalking, I have seen several people do this. I am going to try- but we all know how well that I blog! But it would be nice to look back on one day! :)
Day 1: A picture of yourself with 10 facts
1. Being a MOM has been the most amazing thing in the world to me. So, the past year has been one of the best years EVER. I love Noah.
2. I am very outspoke and often say things that I shouldn't. I need to practice the whole 'think before you speak' method. Family and close friends know this about me... because that is the real me.
3. I have struggled with my weight my entire life. I wish I could just wake up skinny and fit!
4. After a year and almost four months, I still think "I need to call Shane." I miss my brother very much. I never thought something like that would hit my family....
5. I wear the same make-up as my mom, always have. I have tried to change make-up, and I have a ton of different brands, but I always go right back to our brown Cover Girl.
6. I love being a military wife. I love being part of the military. I am so grateful for the life that the military has given us. I am grateful for the man I married and how the military has helped to shape him!
7. As much as I love teaching, I am very excited for our next duty station (California) because I do not plan to teach there. I can't wait to stay home with my baby.
8. I secretly want to be "that mom".. you know.. the VERY invovlved mom.. I want to have my own garden, sew things we want/need, coupon clip, etc.
9. I am very blessed to say that my best friends are my mom and sister. Though friends may come and go... they will always be with me and support me.
10. I am a child of God. Thank you, Lord, for saving me.

The next 40 Days..
I am not Catholic and I have never did LENT. But I have decided to give something up during the time people do for Lent. However, I dont find giving any sort of food up to be helpful in my walk with the Lord. It doesn't take me long to eat a piece of chocolate or to down a drink. I believe if I am goin to step away from something (FAST) for a period, that time needs to be used to spend in the word.. I need to take away something that consumes a lot of my time.
So.. for the next 40 days I am not going to log onto Facebook. I am doing this for me. I have found myself becoming so consumed with certain things on there, that it isn't good for my soul. I find myself on there at night when I should be in the word... So.. here goes! I know by the end of these 40 days, the amount of time I spend on FB will be very limited.
Have I told you how much I LOVE being a Mommy? It warms my soul. This little boy.. MAN! I love him. He lights up my world. When things seem dark and blue, he makes me smile. I love him. Did I tell you that I am going to stay home with him when I move to Cali? And even better did I tell you HOW EXCITED I AM TO DO THIS?? I can't wait to stay home with him!!!
I love my life... and everyone in it.

Worship
Singing worship music with my boy is.. priceless. He "sings" with me anytime I sing. I am EVER so grateful for this little soul that God allowed us to create... We have these worship video DVDs.. and Noah loves them. He "sings" with them too!
I am just so thankful today.. I am full of thanks.
Thankful for my husband. He is amazing to me. We have our moments- but don't we all? I know that God created Nate for me.. I know this. God has a plan for our lives... and now that he has added Noah to it, it makes it all the better. I am thankful for my son too! I am thankful for my family.. and friends! I have some really amazing people in my life and I am so thankful for it. I am thankful for the chance to move around and travel as we do. Though we do not live near family, I love my life.
I am thankful that God is so forgiving. He has really shown me this week areas that I need to work on. Well he has been showing me- and I kinda ignore them. Changing yourself is hard. Yesterday God used a friend to guide me further into Him. This friend doesn't even realize it. But God used her. God used her to show me that the things he is telling me to do.. that I am struggling with doing-- IF she can do it, I can too! Thank you God, for being so forgiving.
I desire to live a life totally focused on the one who saved me. I WANT this. I have gotten away from it. I need Him in my life. I need to be that influence on my son. God has really given me a sweet desire for church in the past few months. I had gotten away from it and just didn't want to go and kinda stopped going.. but God has made me excited to go worship...
I am so thankful for life. I have experienced some very painful times in the past year and a half.. The loss of my brother, a best friend, and many others... but God is showing me his hand through it all. I may not understand it... but I do know that God has a plan for Cassey Shaw... Nathan Shaw... and Noah Shaw! God is so good and I am SO thankful to be his child!!!
Thank you God, for your saving grace!
