Movement!

Slowly, but surely, I have begun to feel our baby move around. Today I have had more action than any other day. Nate keeps saying, "Can you only feel it from the inside?" Cute guy-- he is so eager. He doesn't completly show it.. but he is! :) Yes, I can only feel it from the inside right now. We are 19 weeks tomorrow. IT really does seem that this is zooming by. The trip to TEXAS is right before us, in like 47 days!! I can not believe when we come home from there- I will be in the 3rd trimester!!

So, our next Dr. Appt is on the 13th of November. After the appt. we are going to drive to the DR. off base to see if they can tell us what we are having. We will be 21 weeks. They dont like to tell you until you are 24.. but at least we can see our baby! :) Then on the 24th of November we have our long ultrasound on base. I will be 23 weeks then! It lasts about an hour.. but they check all kinds of things!

I watch my friend Kim, and I see how her house has become so... babyfied! I can not imagine my house being that way. May will be 7 years!!! 7 years people. Of just Nate and me!!! I do not know what is going to happen. It is going to be odd. And Dezi-- oh my.. my sweet Dezi, she has no clue what is about to happen.

Anywho.. I am just in a mood to write tonight! :) But I will stop- since no one reads this anyways!:)

October zoomed by!!

Man, October has truly just gone right by us before our eyes. Nate made it home the second week of October and I am so glad to have him back. This darn house is so lonely without my other half! :) I am thankful to have such awesome friends here though. The Lord has truly bloessed me with two of the best friends I have ever had. The time Nate was gone, I spent a lot of time with Kim and her mom. Her mom was here because of Allie being born! Oh, I just love that little girl... This is a picture of me and her.. her second or third day, still in the hospital!

Mom keeps me updated with pictures of Chloe, Addi, and Ashtyn! I just loooove it! :) But this picture of my AddiBug is sooo cute! I hate it that she is crying, but she is freaking adorable! I can not believe in only 50 days we will be heading home and I can wrap my babies in my arms!! I am going to cry for sure!!

Last weekend Abbey, Kim, and I partipated in the Breast Cancer Awareness 5K. I have been following the story of Sara Sullivan for the past couple of months. If you have tinme, you should check out their blog. They lived here and she was a yoga instructor. It is so sad that breast cancer is something that is actually in this world! http://www.bandssullivan.blogspot.com/ So, when we did it, we were doing it in honor of her.

The next day was the huge air show on base. I read that they estimated that over 500 thousand people actually showed up. It was crazy! Here is a sweet picture of my hubby, who had to work, holding Allie at the Fire Department as we were watching the air show. It makes me THAT much more excited to meet our baby! :)

Then, that night-- or maybe it was the night before. Ab, Kim, and I made a family of ghosts for Halloween. I went ahead and added my little munchin! :)

WE can not wait when the baby is kciking and we can feel it from the outside! We are sooo ready! We are heading to the DR in 3 weeks to hopefully find out if we are going to be supporting blue or pink! :) So ready! 50 days and we are headed home!! I am soooooo excited for that!! :)

Doing well..

Things in the Shaw household have been going well. Nate left for Texas on a TDY on September 13. He has been taking a class there and doing well. On Tuesday he will head to Gilmer to spend sometime with his family. I know he is excited. :) I am so ready to go home in December. I am a bit envious of my man, but he is cute, so he can get away with it. I finally posted all of our pictures from climbing Mt. Fuji on facebook... so you can go look there! :) But this is one of my favorite pics of my hubby- as he was excited about his full Japanese breakfast. How did I get so darn lucky to have such a cutie?

Speaking of my cute husband, he is doing so great with this pregnancy! :) As I am too. Our friends here had their baby girl, Allie Nicole on September 15th so cute. My best friend from childhood, Becca, they had their baby girl Savannah Joy, September 26th. She is precious, I can not wait to meet her!! :) Pregnancy has been awesome. I truly love it. On Wednesday, I will be 15 weeks. I am so ready to start feeling our baby move! When Nate gets home, we will have a DR appt the next week. My next appt is at 17 weeks.. So ready. Here are some pics of me growing, plllus.. the positive test! :) Enjoy

10 Weeks

Today marks 10 weeks in this adventure of pregnancy! It seems crazy that I have only known for 5 weeks. I am eager to get the next two weeks over the be out of the first trimester! :P The funny thing is.. I forget I am pregnant so many times! If I get busy I dont even think of it. I have had it awesome though. If this is what pregnancy is like-- seriously, at this point, I could have a million babies! I am eager to hear our baby's heartbeat again! I ordered a bebe monitor thingy.. I am excited to get that, even though it might be too early still to hear anything!

This picture is from when mom and Britt where here.. this was one of the funnest hours that we had.. it is soo adorable!

Nate is going TDY in September and will spend a week at home while he is at it. Our good friend Ryan goes TDY around the same time- so I bet Abbey and I will be hanging out as much as our schedules let us. Kimmy is already dialated and will be having her baby within the month.. so we know where we will be too! Her mom is coming for a month as well, which I am very happy about!

Dezi is doing great. It is so hard to believe that she will be six years old on September 17th. SIX! Where did the time go? I start to worry because I can not imagine our life without her!!!! She is our life! I nkow quit worrying! :)

I am eager to buy our crib. But I am really trying to hold off until the 2nd trimester. They say it can take up to six months here to get it.. even though it will probably only take 3.. I dont want to take any chances, especially with the holiday season approaching!

Fall has hit us in Japan- winter will be soon to follow. We did not even have a summer this year! It is CRAZY! School starts on Monday. I went back yesterday- but our kids come on Monday. I am teaching sixth grade math! :) Speaking of, I hvae to get out the door to work! Have a great day...

Nothing News Worthy

There is nothing really worth writing about. I still have not gotten my pictures off of Abbey's camara. The camara that we chose to buy has been out of stock and will be in tomorrow- so we will finally have a working camara. We chose to go ahead and splurge and get a video one too.. you know, now that there is a Baby Shaw on its way. I am eight weeks tomorrow. It is so hard to believe that I have only known for almost three weeks! :) We have a DR appt with our first ultrasound on next Wed. pray that everything is okay and our baby is growing as he/she should be! It is just so scary to me! But for those of you that know how I am.. worry wort, anxious like crazy, etc... I have been doing good.

We sold our small sporty car today. We are buying a van. Now, before you stateside people give me a hard time.. we dont have options like you do. A van is the SUV of this base! :) I am happy though. I dread coming home and buying a car. Both of our first cars were only 1000$ and have been perfect. This van is going to be 2500$ which is great. It is a 1998!!! That is NEW around here.. I am excited. It is a really nice van! Seriously.

Ill write again soon...

We picked names..

Is it too soon? Who cares, right? Of course most of you know that our baby girl has been named for five years already! :) Sydni, after my grandpa and her middle name will be her daddys middle name: Carroll! So, if we have a little girl, she will be Sydni Carroll.

If we have a boy it will be Noah Lane. We just love the name Noah. We actually went through about nine names. Nathan was picking it out. He is stuck on the biblical names.. After we both decided Noah was it for this baby if it is a boy- we chose Lane for the middle name. We thought it sounded good. I always wanted to use that as a middle name because a nurse that took really great care of my grandpa was named Layne. :)

Things are going great around here!! I have been feeling fine. Only a few times that I have felt pregnant. For the most part, I feel exactly the same! We are both very excited!! Our lives have alreayd changed. Our first ultrasound is on the 19th. I dont want to wait that long. Please pray that everything is okay.
